As part of our duty of care to our customers, we are keeping you informed of the impending changes to our industry with the implementation of the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) and what changes this will make to the current fire alarm product line up from Cranford Controls.
As from 1st July 2013 CPR comes into force in the UK which requires all fire detection and alarm products be third party tested and certified to the appropriate harmonised EN standard in order to affix the ?CE? mark.
The buildings regulations approved document B (ADB) is currently being revised to implement the CPR into UK law. This means that after 1st July 2013 we will only be able to supply approved products for the fire alarm industry.
The good news is that most of our products already carry full product certification to the relevant EN standard and these can continue to be sold after CPR is implemented. However, we are currently going through a product rationalisation process and some of our existing non approved products will be removed from the fire alarm products range.
We will be in contact shortly to inform you of changes to our product line up from July 2013 and how this will affect your on-going orders and supply.
If you have any questions or concerns arising from this message, please do not hesitate to contact us.
